Jeep Announces 2020 Gladiator

The Gladiator is Here!

Redefining what it means to be a truck, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator has quickly separated itself from the other mid-size pickup trucks available today. Thanks to the Gladiator's legendary Jeep 4x4 capabilities and technology, this truck can take on the toughest terrain for the best adventures! The iconic open-air freedom lets you lose the roof and doors so you can experience the outdoors in a whole new way. We can't forget to mention the incredible and best-in-class payload and towing capacities which allow you to get the job done with ease or bring extra gear with you on our adventure! We can't even begin to explain how excited we are for the arrival of this truck, we have been waiting for quite a while! We have so much more to tell you about the Gladiator so read on!

There are four Gladiator trim levels offered for the 2020 model year and they include the Sport, Sport S, Overland, and the Rubicon. When you get behind the steering wheel of the Gladiator you will immediatly experience truck life in a new way with unimpeded access to the wilderness. Both hard and soft roof options are available so you can let the sunshine in with ease. For even more access to the sun and to be close to the outdoors, you can remove all the doors, the roof, and fold-down the windshield! There is no other mid-size pickup on the market that can do that!

Replace all the doors and the roof and fold the windshield back up and you have the perfect oasis from the rough outdoor elements. The Gladiator's cabin also comes loaded with tech features that will keep you connected and entertained throughout your journey. Keep all your gear close at hand and secure with the Gladiator's innovative storage compartments like the lockable center bin and glove box and the optional lockable bin. Plus, you can lift up the rear seats for even more storage room! You can bring the jams with you on the boat or to the campsite thanks to the Gladiator's exclusive removable Bluetooth wireless speaker! Other features you will love include the largest-in-class 8.4" touchscreen (some trims are outfitted with 5" or 7" inch screens), Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the Uconnect infotainment system, a 115-volt outlet, a driver information display (3.5? and 7" configurations), two USB ports, and more!

The heart of the Gladiator is found within its off-roading 4x4 capability. In the 2020 model year, every Gladiator is outfitted with a 4x4 system -- the Sport, Sport S and Overland get the Command-Trac system while the Rubicon gains the Rock-Trac -- Dana 44 heavy-duty front and rear axles, and low and high range gearing so you can take on even the most tercherous terrains. Taking the Gladiator's capabilities up to a new level is the Rubicon model. The Rubicon adds FOX shocks, lockable wide track axles, all-terrain 33" tires, a electronic disconnected front sway bar, and the industry-exclusive TrailCam! This forward-facing camera helps you navigate terrain by showing you what you're up against!

When it comes to capabilties that trucks are known for, the Gladiator is a beast there as well! This mid-size pickup can handle best-in-class payloads of up to 1,600 lbs and the versatile truck bed makes it easy to load and unload gear! An available roll-up tonneau cover makes it easy to keep gear protected and the tailgate can be stopped at three different heights! Have gear that won't fit in the bed? No problem! The Gladiator can also handle best-in-class towing rates of up to 7,650 lbs. Home renovation projects and traveling with ATVs are now a cinch!

The Gladiator offers two powerful engine options in the 2020 model year. The first, a 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar, delivers up to 260 lb-ft of torque and 285 hp for exceptional power. Enhanced with engine start/stop technology, this engine delivers commendable fuel economy. This engine is also built to administer a broad torque band with a focus on low-end torque so all your off-roading needs are met and exceeded. A 6-speed manual is the standard transmission match to this engine but you can opt for the available 8-speed automatic. The other engine option for the Gladiator is a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6. This engine pumps out 442 lb-ft of torque and 260 hp and also features ESS technology. The only transmission match to this engine is the 8-speed automatic.
