We've been hoping for this for a long time, and the time has finally come. Dodge just unveiled the brand new 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat! The most powerful SUV ever is here for those folk who love muscle cars along with the capability and space of the SUVs. The new Durango SRT Hellcat is only going to be available for the 2021 model year, so you're going to want to get this vehicle before it's gone forever! Learn more about the engine powering the Durango SRT Hellcat and all the features that come with the powerful SUV by continuing on down below!

Just how powerful is the new Durango SRT Hellcat?

Powering the Durango SRT Hellcat is a monstrous supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi Hellcat V8 engine. The supercharged engine kicks out 710 horsepower, 645 lb-ft of torque, and comes with the unmistakable whine of a supercharger when you push the pedal to the metal. The engine comes paired with a quick-shifting TorqueFlite 8HP95 eight-speed automatic transmission. You can manually shift the SRT Hellcat with the paddle shifters on the steering wheel or you can put it into one of seven different drive modes including, Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, Tow, Eco, and Valet. Let's talk about stats. The Durango SRT Hellcat can floor it from zero to sixty miles per hour in 3.5 seconds. The National Hot Rod Association has given the Durango SRT Hellcat a certified quarter-mile elapsed time of 11.5 seconds. When Dodge pinned the Durango SRT Hellcat against the Durango SRT 392 on a 2.1-mile road course, the SRT Hellcat ran 1.5 seconds faster. That means the SRT Hellcat was nine car lengths ahead of the SRT 392 after one lap.

What does the exterior look like?

The exterior of the Durango SRT Hellcat looks even more aggressive than ever before and comes with a working hood scoop that provides cool air to the supercharger. Dodge designers took inspiration from the new Charger Widebody when designing the Durango SRT Hellcat. You'll notice a newly designed front end, and LED headlamps that are slimmer than before, and unique Dodge signature LED DRLs. The SRT Hellcat also received a new two-piece chin splitter that was tested in a wind tunnel and provides added downforce. Dodge is offering a variety of wheel options for the SRT Hellcat including 20x8-inch wheels in Fine Silver, Satin Carbon, and Black Noise. You can also get 20x10-inch wheels in Hyper Black, Mid-Gloss Black, and Lights Out.

What can you tell me about the interior?

In the cockpit of the Durango SRT Hellcat, you'll find a new 10.1-inch touchscreen that is angled towards to driver for ease of use, a roomy console with added storage, and wireless charging. The flat-bottom performance steering wheel in the Durango SRT Hellcat features a red-backlit SRT logo and paddle shifters. The interior of the SRT Hellcat comes decked out in heated and ventilated Nappa leather with suede front seats that feature an embroidered Hellcat logo.
