2020 Ram 1500 vs 2020 Nissan Titan

Whether it is loading up supplies for the next job, or towing the boat to lake for the weekend, pickup trucks can be pretty handy. That is exactly why there are so many options on the market, which can make finding the model that meets all your wants and needs pretty complicated. We have created this comparison model review to help you quickly narrow down the packed segment and help you make the most informed decision by pitting two of the most popular models against each other. To the left, we have the 2020 Ram 1500 and to the right, the 2020 Nissan Titan. Follow along below as we break down what these models have to offer!

2020 Ram 1500 Power & Handling

There are three engine options offered for the Ram 1500. The base engine is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that delivers up to 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. Ram enhances this engine’s torque production and fuel efficiency with the addition of mild-hybrid eTorque technology. The second engine offered can be found under the hood of the Ram 1500 with or without the eTorque system. This 5.7-liter V8 engine produces up to 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. The final engine offered is a new addition for the 2020 model year. This EcoDiesel 3.0-liter V6 engine pumps out up to 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. RWD is standard but 4WD is available and all engine options are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Nissan Titan Power & Handling

There is just one engine powering the entire Nissan Titan lineup. This 5.6-liter V8 engine is capable of creating up to 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. The standard drivetrain configuration is rear-wheel drive but four-wheel drive is available. Nissan mates this engine to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

2020 Ram 1500 Features & Design

In the 2020 model year, there are six Ram 1500 trim levels to choose from. The base model, called the Tradesman, is outfitted with standard features like keyless entry and ignition, a 5-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system, rearview camera, air conditioning, power locks and windows, and Ram’s Uconnect 3 infotainment system. The upper trim levels bring on luxurious features like a tonneau cover, leather upholstery, smartphone integration, an 8.4- or 12-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 4, power rear window, RamBox storage system, driver assistance features, fog lights, and so much more! The Rebel trim level takes on off-roading-oriented features like skid plates, an electronic locking rear axles, and even more aggressive styling.

2020 Nissan Titan Features & Design

There are just five Nissan Titan trim levels to choose from in the 2020 model year. The base S model comes outfitted with standard features like LED bed lights, cloth upholstery, air conditioning, two USB ports, smartphone integration, a 7-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system, remote locking and unlocking, and a rearview camera. The upper four trims add a driver information display, front tow hooks, chrome exterior trim, front and rear parking sensors, leather upholstery, and more.

Conclusion:

After carefully reviewing what both of these full-size pickup trucks have to offer, we could not recommend the 2020 Ram 1500 any more than we already do! The Nissan Titan tried to put up a good fight but it just couldn’t compete with the 1500’s three outstanding engine options or six stellar trim level choices.
