2019 Chrysler Pacifica vs 2019 Toyota Sienna near Athens, GAHave you decided that there needs to be a new minivan in your future but you're not sure which would be the best for you? Well, there are two suggestions we can give you right off the bat, the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and the Toyota Sienna. Both options offer a good array of features and driving experiences, but there are differences to be had between each of the two. So if you need some more information to help narrow things down a bit more, read along as we take a look at what each vehicle has to offer compared to the other. With all the info in hand, you might just be able to pick the vehicle that's right for you.
2019 Chrysler Pacifica Power & HandlingAcross its selection of trims, the Pacifica is equipped with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that's matched to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Together, this pair is able to pump out 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Driving the Pacifica is made easy with brakes with shorter pedal travel, easy modulation, and increased responsiveness, all without becoming too sensitive for their own good. The Pacifica also offers steering with a great on-center feel, being well-weighted for easier control. Additionally, the Pacifica has a limited range of body roll, which allows it to take corners easier while also reducing disturbances from bumps in the road. |
2019 Toyota Sienna Power & HandlingThe Sienna, on the other hand, runs on a 3.5-liter V6 engine paired with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission. While the Sienna is generally fine braking, it does offer greater pedal resistance the more pressure is put onto it. The Sienna also sends some of its road feedback up through the steering column, which also takes some effort to turn while at higher speeds and therefore results in lower stability. There is also increased body roll when turning at high speeds, prompting drivers to slow down at times they might not in other vehicles, though the SE trim's sport-tuned suspension can help with that to some degree. |
2019 Chrysler Pacifica Features & DesignThe 2019 Chrysler Pacifica comes with the choice of six different trim levels; the L, LX, Touring Plus, Touring L, Touring L Plus, and finally the Limited. The first and most basic trim of the line is the L trim, which sees the Pacifica equipped with features such as dual-zone climate control, 17-inch wheels, rear parking sensors, auxiliary jack, rear cross-traffic alert, USB port, folding 60/40-split rear seat, heated mirrors, a seven-inch touchscreen, six-speaker sound system, rearview camera, keyless entry, blind-spot monitoring, keyless ignition, smartphone integration, and Bluetooth. At the LX trim level the Pacifica gains a driver's seat with four-way lumbar and eight-way power functions, second-row Stow 'n Go collapsible seating, automatic headlights, driver information display, tri-zone climate control, alloy wheels, and automatic engine start-stop system. The Touring Plus trim level brings the Pacifica keyless entry, an additional USB port in the front row, remote engine start, satellite radio, chrome exterior trim, foglights, rear power-sliding doors, automatic climate control, a power liftgate, and LED taillights. The Touring trim is the next available level, which comes with heated front seating, retractable sunshades for the second- and third-row seating, an eight-way power front passenger seat with adjustable lumbar, and leather upholstery. The Touring L Plus trim level builds on the features from the previous trim levels with a heated steering wheel, Alpine audio system, a third-row USB port, an onboard navigation system, sound-reducing glass, upgraded driver information display, ambient lighting, and an 8.4-inch touchscreen display. Last but not least comes the Pacifica's top trim, the Limited trim. The Limited trim level gains power-folding mirrors, power-folding third-row seating, ventilated front seating, a second-row USB port, LED foglights, 18-inch wheels, premium leather upholstery, an in-vehicle vacuum cleaner, hands-free sliding doors, hands-free liftgate, xenon headlamps, and a pair of sunroofs. |
2019 Toyota Sienna Features & DesignThe 2019 Toyota Sienna only offers five trim levels to choose between, the L, LE, SE, XLE, and the Limited. The basic L trim starts things off keyless entry, a media player with an auxiliary audio jack, tri-zone automatic climate control, six-speaker audio system, rearview camera, CD player, conversation mirror, 17-inch alloy wheels, wiper de-icer, five USB ports, Bluetooth, smartphone integration, Entune interface-enabled seven-inch touchscreen, and automatic headlights. At the LE trim level the Sienna will gain privacy glass, rear sunshades, rear power-sliding doors, upgraded and easily cleaned fabric upholstery, heated mirrors, roof rails, and a power-adjustable driver's seat. Similar to the LE trim is the SE trim, but it gains 19-inch alloy wheels, a larger driver information screen, a sportier exterior style, heated front seats, sharper steering, sport-tuned suspension, power liftgate, and leather upholstery for the two front rows. Another rung up the Seinna's trim ladder brings us to the XLE trim level, which gains imitation-wood interior trim, keyless entry, rear power-opening windows, keyless ignition, and a power-adjustable front passenger seat. Last of the Sienna's trims is the Limited with its LED daytime running lights, heated steering wheel, auto-dimming and power-folding mirrors, driver-seat memory settings, front and rear sunroofs, 18-inch alloy wheels, specialized grille, first- and second-row premium leather upholstery, and rear parking sensors. |
ConclusionsLooking at both the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and Toyota Sienna will let you see that both have a lot to offer, but even with that being said at the end of the day you can only be behind one wheel at a time and if we had to choose between them we would choose the Pacifica. With its smoother ride and greater amount of features added at each trim level it simply offers more than the Sienna does. So for a better overall experience for drivers and riders alike, consider the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica.
