While this engine is optional for the entire lineup, it comes standard with the Limited trim. Lastly, the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 was introduced in 2014, providing 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque for an impressive 12,560 pounds of towing capacity. Mated to all Ram 1500 engines is the sturdy TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission, powering the rear wheels. However, 4x4 is optional for all Ram 1500 trim levels.
