Get Your Car Ready for Your Road Trip!

When you embark on a road trip, you’ll be using your car more than you would on a normal day. With the knowledge that you’ll be putting more miles on your car during a fairly short period of time, you’ll want to make sure that you’re setting yourself up for success. The best way to do that is to take care of all of your maintenance before you embark on your journey! Most mechanics recommend to get an oil change roughly every 7,500 miles, so be sure to get an oil change before you leave so that you’re getting a fresh start. You should also get a tire rotation so that you’re not putting excess wear on any tire over the other. While you’re at it, have your mechanic check on your air conditioning, and change out the A/C filter so that you can keep your car cold on those hot summer days! If you need any new parts, like tires or wiper blades, or accessories, like a roof rack or cargo carrier, we can order and install those for you as well here at Akins CDJR!
