Road Trip to Holiday Fun

Let the most wonderful time of the year activities begin. November kicks off great family friendly holiday activities around Georgia. Get your November calendar out and pencil in a few of these events.

Stone Mountain Christmas: This kicks off on November 10 and runs through January 6, 2019. With over 2 million lights, holiday shows, a parade and snowfall, families will delight in all the excitement. And don’t forget about tubing at Snow Mountain.

Center for Puppetry Arts: This will have kids delighted for Santa with their annual Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer play. Runs from November 13 to December 30.

Callaway Gardens: Take a drive out here for the weekend to enjoy Fantasy in Lights featuring over 8 million lights. There are holiday shows and reservations available for breakfast and dinner shows. Opens November 16 and runs through January 5, 2019.

Tree Lightings

Atlantic Station: Head to Atlantic Station on November 17 to enjoy the live music, meet Santa and watch the parade before the tree lighting.

Lenox Square : Macy’s Great Tree Lighting Show including live music, the tree lighting and fireworks on November 18. 

Light Up Dunwoody features vendors, the tree lighting and of course Santa on November 18.

Georgia Freight Depot: Attend the Indie Craft Experience Holiday Shopping Spectacular at the Georgia Freight Depot to snag some unique holiday gifts for the whole family. Starts on November 17 through November 18.

Atlanta Aquarium: Festival of the SEAson at the Atlanta Aquarium features a light and music show, tree-lighting ceremonies, Santa and SCUBA Claus and more starting November 17 through December 31.

Georgia State Stadium: Runners will be ready for dinner after completing the Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon and 5K on November 22 at the Georgia State Stadium.
