Ram Built to Serve Edition Models Rolling Out

Brought to you by Akins Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram

Ram is honoring all five branches of the United States armed forces with new "Built to Serve Edition" Ram trucks. The first edition rolled out in November to coincide with Veterans Day, the second edition just rolled out to coincide with Flag Day, and we expect to see the rest of the "Built to Serve Edition" trucks to roll out on important dates throughout the year. Each edition will come in two exterior paint colors that were specifically chosen to honor a specific branch in the military. Ram hopes to embody the mission, spirit, and history of service of each of the five branches of the military in the new special edition trucks.

What colors are the "Built to Serve Edition" trucks in?

Ram has specifically designed a number of exterior paint colors for the new "Built to Serve Edition" trucks that embody the branch of the military the truck is dedicated to. The first set of trucks hit dealerships in Gator and Diamond Black exterior paint colors. One thousand special edition trucks in each paint color were made. This past flag day, Ram released the second edition of the special trucks in Ceramic Gray and Patriot Blue to honor our navy. One thousand trucks in each paint color were made. Later this year, we'll see "Built to Serve Edition" trucks in Anvil & Billet Silver, Tank & Flame Red, and Spitfire & Bright White. All but Spitfire and Bright White, which will be made in five hundred models each, will be produced in one thousand units.

What does the exterior of the "Built to Serve Edition" truck look like?

Along with unique paint colors, the "Built to Serve Edition" trucks will ride on a set of 20-inch aluminum wheels in a unique-to-the-edition Technical Gray finish. The exterior paint colors and wheel finish are complimented by black wheel-to-wheel side steps, black badges, body-color wheel flares, and dual four-inch black exhaust tips. The exterior of these trucks also features a "Built to Serve" decal and a United States flag decal on each of the rear quarter panels.

What does the interior of the "Built to Serve Edition" truck have for features?

When you look inside the "Built to Serve Edition" truck, you'll notice the accent stitching on the upholstery complements the exterior paint color of the truck. The interior accent stitching will be in either Light Frost, Light Diesel Gray, Orange, Light Ambassador Blue, or Core Green. The interior also comes outfitted with Black Onyx Chrome interior trim, deeply bolstered cloth and vinyl Sport seats, lockable console storage, all-weather rubber slush mats, and a "Built to Serve" badge on the instrument panel. The special edition trucks also come with "Built to Serve" embroidered Velco panels on both front seats along with Velcro panels on both of the front seats inboard shoulder panels. These Velcro panels are ideal for displaying military badges.
