Meet the 2025 Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass got a new powertrain along with its exterior and interior upgrades. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine, replacing the previous generation's naturally aspirated 2.4L four-cylinder engine. With its turbocharged engine, the 2025 Compass achieves 200 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque, supplying drivers with plenty of power for their everyday driving needs as well as the all-terrain adventures they desire. To provide drivers with impressive traction, all Compass trim levels come equipped with Active Drive 4x4, which uses a power transfer unit and disconnecting rear axle to maximize fuel efficiency. When driving conditions are desirable, such as driving on dry pavement, the power transfer unit will shift 100% of available engine power to the front wheels, leaving the rear wheels to spin freely, essentially running the Compass in front wheel drive. However, when a loss of traction at the front wheels is detected, the power transfer unit will reengage the rear wheels, distributing power to all four wheels to regain and maintain traction. This process occurs automatically without any driver input. Further capability is provided by the Selec-Terrain traction management system, featuring Sand/Mud, Snow, and Sport mode.

In 2025, the Jeep Compass returns with its staple trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Trailhawk, and Limited. Standard features for the entry-level Sport trim include but are not limited to a Uconnect 5 8.4-inch touchscreen, Keyless Enter n' Go passive entry, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, push-button start, deep-tinted privacy glass, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, and heated/power-adjustable side mirrors. Opting for the Latitude trim, you'll find things like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cornering LED fog lights, premium cloth/vinyl bucket seats, and automatic high beams. Meanwhile, the Latitude is available for the Altitude Package, which adds a Gloss Black grille, Gloss Black 17-inch alloy wheels, and Gloss Black badges. Meanwhile, the Latitude LUX takes the Latitude and adds Jeep's Cold Weather Group, which adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, remote engine start, and a windshield wiper de-icer. The Trailhawk trim takes you past where the pavement ends with 17-inch black-painted wheels wrapped with all-terrain tires, Trail Rated off-road suspension, four skid plates, red tow hooks (two front, one rear), a Gloss Black roof, a black and red hood decal, premium cloth leather-trimmed seats, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Finally, the Limited trim features 18-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, leatherette seating, the Cold Weather Group, exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals, and the available High Altitude package. A new addition to the 2025 Compass is the available limited edition Joose exterior paint option.

In 2025, the Jeep Compass comes with over 80 standard and available safety features.  Standard safety features for all trim levels include blindspot monitoring, rear cross-path detection, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active lane management, and more. Meanwhile, optional safety technologies or ones standard at higher trim levels include a 360-degree surround-view camera system, giving you an overhead view of the Compass and its surroundings while entering or exiting a parking space. Another is traffic sign recognition, which uses a forward-facing camera to read road signs and alert you on the digital driver information display. Parallel/perpendicular park assist is also available, making parking easier than ever. Meanwhile, drowsy driver detection senses drowsy behaviors such as fluctuating speeds or changes in lane position and advises the driver to take a break. The available adaptive cruise control feature allows you to set a speed, and the vehicle will maintain a safe following distance, slowing down when necessary without any driver input. Finally, the Compass is eligible for Jeep's Active Drive Assist semi-autonomous driving system. This provides hands-on-wheel, eyes-on-road autonomous driving and coordinates the adaptive cruise control and active lane management features to maintain a safe speed, following distance, and lane position.
