Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Power

Jeep created the quickest, most powerful Wrangler ever by giving it the power of a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine. The 392-cubic-inch engine gives the Wrangler a matching 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. This takes it from 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds. Off-roading, you often come across water. To give the Wrangler Rubicon 392 up to nearly 33 inches of water fording abilities, Jeep created the Hydro Guide air intake system. Using three distinct channels, leading from the functional hood scoop away from the engine, Hydro Guide can remove up to 15 gallons of water per minute. If the hood scoop is fully obstructed, additional intakes continue to provide cold air to the engine. The Rubicon 392 also comes with a dual-mode exhaust system with Normal and Performance modes. Normal mode sends the exhaust through the entire system, while the Performance mode allows for straight exhaust flow to give it that famous HEMI rumble. These modes can be selected at the push of a center console-mounted button. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for sequential gear shifting and Jeep's Selec-Trac full-time automatic 4x4. 

While the regular Wrangler Rubicon has many impressive off-roading features, the Rubicon 392 has even more. Jeep increased the breakover, approach, and departure angles for the Rubicon 392, raising its total ground clearance to 11.1 inches. The increased ground clearance makes it easier to pass over rugged terrain and trail obstacles. The ground clearance of the Rubicon 392 is also enhanced by the 2-inch factory lift from high-pressure gas-charged monotube FOX shock absorbers. Like the regular Rubicon, the Rubicon 392 uses an electronically disconnecting front sway bar to increase wheel articulation to keep all four wheels on the ground to maintain traction on uneven terrain. Also, the Rubicon 392 offers the Off-Road+ button with Rock and Sand modes. Depending on the mode that gets selected, the system automatically makes adjustments to the throttle control, transmission shift points, traction control, power output, and more to maximize performance while tearing up sand dunes or carefully crawling over rugged terrain at low speeds. Lastly, the Wrangler Rubicon 392 features Selec-Speed control. Think of this as cruise control for off-roading. It lets you set a speed between 0.6 and 5 MPH and will maintain that speed, allowing you to focus on maneuvering the tricky terrain.

The Wrangler Rubicon 392 is eligible for the new Xtreme Recon package. The most notable thing about the Rubicon 392 with the Xtreme Recon package is its height. It features a raised suspension system, towering over the regular Rubicon with 12.9 inches of ground clearance. Plus, adding to its intimidating stance are the 35-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires, replacing the Rubicon's 33-inch Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires. The additional height that the Xtreme Recon package gives the Rubicon 392 also gives it up to 33.6 inches of water fording capability.
