Getting Oil Changes
While there is no set interval for oil changes for your Jeep Gladiator, they are still essential to the health and functionality of your Gladiator. You will know when it's time to get an oil change when the Oil Change indicator light goes off on your dashboard. When you get an oil change here at Akins, we will also witch out your oil filter so that your Gladiator's engine will stay free from dirt and grime for as long as possible. Also, when you bring your Gladiator in for an oil change, you will need some other things done, such as having your tires rotated and having your battery and brakes inspected. If you tend to take your Gladiator off-road, have our experts inspect your oil cleaner as it will help your engine from overheating.
Two Years or 20,000 Miles
Your first significant checkup will occur at the two-year or 20,000-mile mark, whichever comes first. At this point, you should have our experts at Akins replace your cabin air filter, which will keep the air inside your Gladiator fresh. You should also have the CV and Universal Joints inspected at this point and every 10,000 miles after that. In addition, our experts will also check the front and rear suspensions and replace them if necessary.
Three Years or 30,000 Miles
When you get to the three-year or 30,000-mile mark, you have been driving your Gladiator for a while, and some additional maintenance will need to be done. You will need to have the transfer case fluid inspected and replaced, and your will again need to replace the engine air filter. If your Gladiator has a manual transmission, you might want to think about replacing the manual transmission fluid as well.
Four Years or 40,000 Miles
Once you arrive at the four years or 40,000 miles mark, you're going to want to repeat all the things that were done at the 20,000-mile mark, and if you tend to do a lot of off-roading in your Gladiator, then you're going to want to have your front and rear axle fluid changed at this point.
60,000 Miles to 100,000 Miles
Your next service appointment with our experts at Akins will occur at the six-year or 60,000-mile mark. You're going to want to do everything that we mentioned at the previous intervals, and you will want to change your transfer case fluid if you tend to use your Gladiator for a lot of towing. The next interval will be at the ten-year or 100,000-mile mark, and at this point, you're going to want to have your spark plugs replaced to make sure that your engine starts when you need it to. You should also have our experts flush and replace your coolant.
