Dodge Hornet Trim Levels and Packages

The 2023 Dodge Hornet trim-level lineup begins with the GT trim. Underneath the hood is a 268-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged I-4 engine, paired with a smooth-shifting nine-speed automatic transmission that powers an intelligent all-wheel drive system. From the outside, the Hornet GT captures Dodge's muscle car attitude with an aggressive front end with a mail-slot opening on the grille made famous by the Charger SRT models. Atop the hood are dual heat extractors for optimal engine cooling and an aggressive look. Other exterior features include selective damping shocks, 17-inch Silver alloy wheels, power-adjustable/heated side mirrors with integrated turn indicators, LED headlights, LED taillights, an LED Dodge Rhombi symbol on the trunk lid, rain-sensing wipers, and a power liftgate. Stepping inside, you'll find the interior to be comfortable, intuitive, and modern. The center stack is angled slightly to face the driver, giving an in-command feeling. Behind the steering wheel is an all 12.3-inch fully digital gauge cluster for important driver information. At the top of the center stack, you'll see a 10.25-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment touchscreen with the latest in-car technologies. The interior also features dual-zone automatic climate control, passive keyless entry, a full driver assist technology suite, push-button start, drive mode buttons, six speakers, and more. The GT Plus takes the GT to the next level with a wireless charging pad, leather upholstery, heated front seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio, and more.

The 2023 Dodge Hornet R/T brings the features included with the GT Plus trim. Meanwhile, the powertrain receives a significant upgrade with Dodge's first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) system. The Hornet R/T features a 1.3L turbocharged I-4 engine to power the front wheels. Meanwhile, the rear wheels are simultaneously driven by an electric motor mounted to the rear axle and powered by a rechargeable EV battery pack. The PHEV system gives the Hornet R/T 288 horsepower and a thrilling 383 lb-ft of torque, of which 140 is available instantly thanks to the electric motor. The Hornet R/T comes with Dodge's PowerShot feature, which provides drivers with a fifteen-second burst of 25 extra horsepower by simply pulling both paddle shifters while accelerating. The PowerShot feature can be used at any speed as many times as the driver would like, with a fifteen-second cooldown period between uses. Exclusive features for the Hornet R/T include Black Abyss lower cladding, 18-inch Graphite Gray alloy wheels, Brembo high-performance brakes with red calipers, dual exhaust outlets, and more.

All 2023 Dodge hornet trim levels are eligible for the Blacktop Package. Dodge has called Hornet models equipped with the Blacktop Package the "automotive version of the Murder Hornet" due to its aggressive all-black appearance. The exterior features black monochromatic badging, 18-inch Abyss alloy wheels, Gloss Black side mirror caps, Gloss Black side window moldings, and more. The Blacktop Package can be added to compliment the 8 Ball black exterior paint color or contrast any of the other six colors available for the n Hornet.

Up next is the Tech Pack, adding more advanced technology features to the Hornet. The Tech Pack's primary focus is safety. Therefore, it adds a wide range of standard driving aids, including Active Driving Assist. Active Driving Assist is an eyes-on-road, hands-on-wheel autonomous driving system that uses numerous cameras and sensors to keep the vehicle at the right speed and within the lines. Other safety features included with the Tech Pack include drowsy driver detection, intelligent speed assist, front parking sensors, and traffic sign recognition.

The first package available for the 2023 Dodge Hornet is the Track Pack. This package adds the performance needed to back up the Hornet's muscle car style. The Track Pack's dual-stage valve suspension works to offer a smoother ride and tighter handling while maneuvering corners. The special package also features Brembo brakes with red calipers with 'Dodge' engraved on it. The red brake calipers stand out from the 20-inch Abyss black alloy wheels. The Track Pack upgrades the interior with aluminum accents on the dash, steering wheel, and pedals, along with Alcantara sport seats with the Dodge Rhombi symbol embroidered on the backrests of the front seats.
