The 2025 Ram Chassis Cab gives you a choice of two powerful engines: the newly designed 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel and the reliable 6.4-liter HEMI V-8. Both come standard with a new electronic column shifter and TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic transmission. The Cummins Turbo Diesel cranks out an impressive 360 horsepower and 800 lb.-ft. of torque, while the HEMI V-8 delivers 375 horsepower and 429 lb.-ft. of torque. Ram worked closely with Cummins to make the new 6.7-liter diesel even better, improving everything from fuel economy and durability to how smoothly it runs and how easy it is to service. They redesigned the block and head, added heavy-duty pistons, a new intake manifold and turbo, and made the valves bigger for better airflow. Plus, it has a higher-pressure fuel system for added efficiency. Little things like improved intake port geometry, top-load lubrication, and integrated fuel filters make servicing easier, and Cummins-equipped trucks have glow plugs for those freezing mornings. They even used special gears in the transmission to reduce noise and vibration.

Ram has added an innovative new feature for 2025: a selectable oil change interval. This lets you choose B20 biodiesel and get notified when it's time for an oil change (every 12,000 miles), or stick with regular diesel and get notified at 15,000 miles. The 2025 Ram Chassis Cab also gets the TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic transmission, which means lower engine RPMs at cruising speeds and better performance on hills. Those wider gear ratios let you use a lower rear axle ratio without sacrificing any of the truck's capability. This PTO system has been improved for even more versatility and now has a dedicated switch, working in more situations and even providing minimum split-shaft PTO horsepower while stationary through a remote throttle. It also protects the engine and PTO equipment with a fail-safe that allows aerial lifts to be lowered without engine power. An on-board power inverter provides up to 2.4 kilowatts with a relocatable point of service, so you can easily power your tools and equipment. For seamless integration with aftermarket modules, the Chassis Cab features a best-in-class vehicle system interface module (VSIM) with over 70 inputs and outputs, controlling everything from lighting and door position to throttle and transmission position.
