It's a spectacular 5.7-liter V8 that pumps out an impressive 392 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. Pairing with this engine is an eight-speed automatic transmission that provides drivers and passengers with a smooth ride. Want to haul around a ton of material with your Wagoneer? Well, you're in luck as it has a spectacular lowing ability of up to 10,000 pounds! With all this power comes an outstanding amount of traction as there are three four-wheel-drive systems available for the Wagoneer, including the Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II. Each trim level of the Wagoneer comes with a Selec-Traction Management System with five different settings that allow the Wagoneer to go over everything the world offers!

2022 Ford Explorer Power & Handling

There are a couple of engine options available for the 2022 Explorer, and most will come with a 2.3-liter four-cylinder that pumps out 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. Higher-level trims come standard with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that makes improvements to both the horsepower and the torque. Both of these engines come with an automatic transmission and front-wheel-drive, though you do have the option of all-wheel-drive if you choose. There is a lot of power to be had with these two engines, though not only is the Wagoneer more powerful, but it also offers more four-wheel-drive options.

The Wagoneer is not only one of the most powerful SUVs on the planet, but it's also filled to the brim with all kinds of tech and luxury features. There are two high-level trims available for the Wagoneer. The first is the Series II, which comes with a 9-speaker Alpine audio system, tri-zone climate control, Nappa leather bench seats, 22-inch alloy wheels, a front-passenger screen, and a rear-seat entertainment package with dual 10.1-inch rear screens. In addition, there is a rear-seat entertainment system that has Amazon Fire TV for auto. More amazing features are available for the Series III, which add a tri-pane sunroof, parallel and perpendicular parking programs, the 360-degree surround-view camera, and a head-up display. Several unique featuers for the Series III include 22-inch wheels, a 19-speaker McIntosh MX950 audio system, a heavy-duty towing package, and tri-pane sunroof power side steps, and Intersection Collision Assist.

2022 Ford Explorer Features & Design

The Ford Explorer tries to top the Wagoneer with a long list of available features, and there are some useful ones throughout its trim lineup. The base trim starts with a power liftgate, tri-zone automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, an in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot, and an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The XLT trim adds roof rails, keyless ignition/entry, heated front seats, and second-row USB ports. While luxury can be seen throughout the Wagoneer, on the Explorer, it's limited to the Limited trim as it comes with ambient lighting, leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, a wireless charging pad, and a 12-speaker audio system. Higher trims round things off with addle shifters, sport front seats, an automated parking system, adaptive headlights, and a digital gauge cluster display.
