Returning for the 2022 model year, the Ram 2500 received some wonderful updates. For starters, the Big Horn trim level and every following trim feature the all-new Uconnect 5 infotainment software. The Big Horn Silver Edition now comes with chrome door handles, tow hooks, and belt molding, as well as black interior accents and a unique grille. Non-dually Limited Longhorn models now feature chrome side steps, while dually models feature cab length steps. The Ram 2500 Power Wagon is now available with a Level 3 Equipment Package that includes a Gunmetal RAM badge on a black mesh grille with premium LED headlamps on either side with Gloss Black surrounds. With the Level 3 package, the Power Wagon gets interior features like a 12-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a 17-speaker Harman-Kardon sound system, Medium Greystone Natura Plus or Bristol premium leather bucket seats, a Power Wagon badge on the center console, and more. Lastly, the available Trailer Tow Group now comes with a light above the trailer hitch, providing plenty of guiding light from four LED lights above the hitch.

A majority of the 2022 Ram 2500’s updates come in the form of advanced technology. Most notably, the all-new Uconnect 5 infotainment software. While the Tradesman model comes with a 5-inch infotainment touchscreen with Uconnect 4, the Big Horn and following models feature an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, while a 12-inch touchscreen is optional. The new software operates at four times the operating speed of the current Uconnect 4 software and has an extensive list of brand new features. Uconnect 5 also offers five user profiles plus a valet mode. This advanced feature gives up to five drivers the ability to set the system to memorize things like music preferences, climate control settings, digital gauge cluster layout, and seat and mirror position. The valet mode disables the touchscreen to guard personal information and defaults all settings.  One of the most impressive new features is cordless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration. This allows you to seamlessly access your smartphone’s apps on the touchscreen without using a USB cord. In addition, the Amazon Alexa feature seamlessly integrates with your in-home Alexa device, allowing you to start, lock, and unlock your truck from inside your home with your voice. It also allows you to control in-home settings from your truck. Furthermore, you can use Alexa for everything you would inside your home, like playing music, continuing a list, checking the weather, and more. Other Uconnect 5 features include a 4G LTE WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth integration for two enabled devices, and voice-activated TomTom navigation with live traffic updates over the air.
