The 2022 Jeep Compass includes five trim levels in its lineup, all of which are powered by a potent 2.4-liter Tigershark 4-cylinder engine. This engine is rated at 177 horsepower and 172 lb-ft of torque. In the standard configuration, the Compass features a 6-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, but all trim levels have 4-wheel drive and a 9-speed automatic transmission as an available option. When properly equipped, the Compass has the ability to tow up to 2,000 pounds, and the top three trim levels come standard with Selec-Terrain Traction Management, allowing drivers to choose between multiple drive modes depending on the road conditions. The most capable model in the entire Jeep Compass lineup is the Trailhawk, which comes with the Jeep Trail Rated badge, as well as some additional off-road equipment. The Trailhawk comes with standard 4-wheel drive featuring the Active Drive Low 4X4 system, which provides low-range gearing, and a 20:1 crawl ratio. The Trailhawk has a 30-degree approach angle, a 1-inch factory lift, and can ford up to 19 inches of water. It also comes equipped with red-painted front tow hooks, an anti-glare hood decal, and all-season tires.

The 2022 redesign has introduced a wide array of new updates to the Jeep Compass lineup. This is evident from the exterior, which now has a sleeker and more streamlined feel, with slim LED headlights framing an understated take on the classic 7-slot grille design. Inside, the Compass has a five-seat layout, as well as a rear cargo area with over 27 cubic feet of storage space! The rear seats also feature a 60/40 split-folding capability, which opens up the rear cargo area even more. The Compass also comes equipped with standard roof rails, so you can load up even more cargo onto the roof. The Limited trim is the top tier of the Jeep Compass lineup, and boosts that luxurious look and feel even further, with features like dual-zone automatic climate control, and an elegant Gloss Black roof. 

The 2022 Jeep Compass’s redesign really amped up the tech features, making the whole interior feel more modern and tech-focused. All models in the lineup feature the Uconnect 5 infotainment system with a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen, while a 10.1-inch touchscreen comes standard on the upper three trims. This system comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. Starting with the Latitude LUX, the Compass also offers a 7-inch thin-film transistor (TFT) screen, which adds a full-color digital cluster display behind the steering wheel. Other available tech features include a wireless smartphone charging pad, and a 360-degree surround-view camera. The new Compass also added quite a few features to its standard safety package, including adaptive cruise control with stop and go, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, active lane management, and forward-collision warning. There’s even an available automated parking system, which will assist the driver while parallel and perpendicular parking.
