The Challenger R/T Scat Pack Shaker Widebody
This model goes back to 1970, the original muscle car era. Dodge is taking it to the next level with the addition of the Widebody Package. This model utilizes a traditional engine-mounted hood scoop that “shakes” with the movement of the engine. This hood scoop is more than just a pretty addition, it directs cooler air back into the engine. Under the hood lies a 6.4-liter 392 cubic-inch HEMI V8 that pumps out 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. Drivers can choose between the standard six-speed manual transmission or the available eight-speed automatic transmission. Models outfitted with the automatic transmission also get steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. The Widebody package adds 3.5-inches of width to the R/T Scat Pack as well as high-performance features like SRT Performance Pages, SRT Drive Modes, Line Lock, Launch Assist, and Launch Control.
The Challenger T/A 392 Widebody
Originally, there were just 2,399 Challenger T/A models built-in 1970 for the Sports Car Club of America’s Trans-Am racing series. It is one of the most sought after muscle cars of all time. Coming into the 2021 model year, the Challenger T/A 392 Widebody adds performance hardware and unique appointments to build on the legacy. They include black upholstery performance seats with signature Houndstooth cloth inserts for enhanced lateral support, a 1971-inspired “tic-toc-tach” gauge cluster, NACA ducted hood designed to optimize the cold air intake, “Air Catcher” headlamps with LED-illuminated T/A logos, a “392” fender decal, a black spoiler with T/A spoiler decal, and a painted Satin Black hood as well as a Satin Black wrap roof and deck lid.
