The Ram 1500 is all new for the 2019 model year and it is more capable and efficient than ever before. The Ford F-150 is not all new but it does offer new powertrain options and a refreshed exterior. 2019 Ram 1500 Power & Handling

There are two incredible engine options available for the 2019 Ram 1500. Up first is the standard option, a 3.6-liter V6 from Pentastar. This engine is equipped with the all-new mild-hybrid eTrique technology for enhanced performance and efficiency. Pumping out up to 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of power, this engine can tow up to 7,730 pounds! The second engine, a 5.7-liter V8, can be configured with or without the mild-hybrid eTorque system. Kicking out 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque, this engine can haul up to 12,750 pounds. That's some best in class V8 towing! Both engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain configuration but you can opt for the available all-wheel drive configuration on all but one model.

2019 Ford F-150 Power & Handling

There are a total of six engine options for the 2019 Ford F-150. That is way more than necessary if you ask us. The standard engine is a 3.3-liter V6. It comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and together they generate 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. Other engine options include a 2.7L twin-turbo V6, 3.0L turbodiesel V6, a 3.5L twin-turbo V6, a 5.0L V8, and a 3.5L twin-turbo V6. the F-150 can tow up to 13,000 pounds with an optional tow package and expensive model housing the 3.5L twin-turbo V6. Rear-wheel drive is also standard with the F-150 but you can opt for four-wheel drive if you desire.

2019 Ram 1500 Features & Design

There are seven Ram 1500 trim levels to choose from in the 2019 model year. They range from the base Tradesman to the luxurious Limited. Standard features consist of the Uconnect infotainment system, 18-inch steel wheels, a Class II hitch receiver, air conditioning, a rearview camera, automatic headlights, a rear folding bench seat, heated side mirrors, a six-speaker audio system, auxiliary and USB audio inputs, rearview camera, additional rear USB ports, cruise control, push-button ignition, a locking tailgate, and more! The higher trim levels come outfitted with features like side steps, an 8.4-inch touchscreen interface, smartphone integration, household-style power outlet, heated and ventilated seats, premium audio systems, power tailgate release, navigation, and driver assistance features!

2019 Ford F-150 Features & Design

There are six trim levels offered for the 2019 Ford F-150. They start off with the XL and finish off with the Limited. 2019 model year standard features include a 4.2-inch central display screen, four-speaker sound system, manual windows and mirrors, automatic headlights, 17-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, cloth upholstery, trailer sway control, and pre-wired trailer connections. The upper trims are equipped with features like a keypad entry system, rear privacy glass, 18-inch wheels, keyless entry and ignition, heated and ventilated seats, power-deployable running boards, 22-inch wheels, and leather upholstery. Many of the F-150's most desirable features are locked up in expensive packages, so you have to shell out even more money to get features that will keep you comfortable and connected.

Conclusions

The Ford F-150's engine lineup may look and sound more powerful but the Ram 1500 blows it out of the water with its standard mild-hybrid system! Plus, the Ram 1500 offers tons more standard features so you can stay comfortable and connected no matter where life of the job may bring you!
