2018 Ram 1500 Power & Handling

Most trims come standard with a 3.6-liter Pentastar Flex Fuel V6 engine with variable-valve timing. The second engine is standard on the top two trims and is offered as an option to many of the others. This engine is a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with variable-valve timing and fuel saver technology. The final engine is a 3-liter EcoDiesel V6 that comes standard on the HFE trim and is optional to many of the others. All engines come with an eight-speed automatic and the choice of two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The average fuel economy comes to a total of 29 miles per gallon.

2018 Chevrolet Silverado Power & Handling

The Silverado offers three engine options. The first is a 4.3-liter Flex Fuel V6, followed by the 5.3-liter Flex Fuel V8, and then finally the 6.2-liter Flex Fuel V8. These engines are given the option of a six-speed or eight-speed transmissions. They also come with the options of two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive. The average fuel economy is a total of 21 miles per gallon.

2018 Ram 1500 Features & Design

Safety was greatly improved upon in 2018 for the 1500. A longer rear window was put in place for higher blind spot visibility. New features like a backup camera were also added to help improve sight while in reverse and additional features like automatic high beams, LED foglights, SOS call and roadside assistance on the Sirius Guardian, automatic windshield wipers, and a locking tailgate, were all added to improve safety and security even further.

2018 Chevrolet Silverado Features & Design

The Silverado remained mostly the same in 2018 for safety and security features. Additionally, many of the features are not standard and need to be added on through an Enhanced Driver Alert package. Some of the contents of this package includes lane keep assist with lane departure warning and both front and rear parking assist.
