2018 Jeep Compass Power & Handling

Each 2018 Jeep Compass model is powered by a 2.4-liter Tigershark engine with the MultiAir 2 system. Depending on the model that you choose this engine is matched to a six-speed manual or a six- or nine-speed manual transmission, all of which offer smooth shifting and enhanced performance! The EPA gives the Compass an estimated fuel economy of 32 mpg highway with FWD and the manual transmission. Plus when equipped with the automatic transmission options the 2018 Compass comes with engine start-stop technology to help boost fuel economy and reduce emissions. The Compass also offers Best-in-Class 4x4 highway fuel economy when outfitted with the manual transmission and the 4x4 system. 4WD models can tow up to 2,000 pounds while Trailhawk models increase that to 3,600 pounds!
