What's under the hood of the 300?

One of two commanding engines will be found under the hood of all 2018 300 models. The first engine is a 3.6-liter V6 which will produce about 292 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. You'll find the V6 standard within the Touring, L, 300S, and the Limited. Although it is worth taking a moment to acknowledge that with the 300S the V6 will actually provide a bump more power than the other two models, churning out 300 horsepower and 264 lb.-ft. of torque. The second option is an absolute workhorse, generating an impressive 363 horsepower and 394 lb.-ft. of beastly torque, and that is a 5.7-liter V8 HEMI with variable valve timing, standard with the 300C. All five options are set with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive; however, the Touring, the L, the 300S and the Limited can all be optioned with all-wheel drive.

With the release of the 2018 models, buyers of the Chrysler 300 can anticipate finding themselves in one of five refined trims, each with its own set of standard consumer-pleasing amenities. The Touring, being the base model, comes setup with 17-inch wheels (which are upgraded to 19-inches if you spring for the all-wheel drive), a customizable eight-way power driver seat, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated mirrors, a rearview camera, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and a six-speaker sound system. The final trim is the powerful 300C which rocks a touring-tuned suspension, adaptive xenon headlights, heated and cooled cupholders, and upgraded leather upholstery.
