2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk

What makes the Grand Cherokee such a unique SUV, and one of the reasons why it remains beloved after almost twenty years on the market, is its versatility. Many SUV's on the market offer four-wheel drive capability, but none of the alternatives can deliver an off-road performance like that in the Grand Cherokee. Now, Jeep is offering another layer of power and excitement with their new 2017 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk model. With a range of unique engineering components, as well as interior furnishings that emphasize luxury, this new model will be perfect for fans of the SUV, and any driver who wants the best of both worlds; luxury and power.

For fans of the Grand Cherokee and the Jeep brand in general, the Trailhawk name will be familiar. The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk made its debut in 2012 when Jeep took it to the Easter Jeep Safari event in Moab, Utah as a custom model. The 2013 model gained a Trailhawk option, but Jeep removed it from the lineup when the Grand Cherokee gained a redesign in 2014. After that, the Cherokee and Renegade Trailhawk models were added to the lineup, and they were built with the same level of interest in off-road performance as the original custom Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.

What makes the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk unique? Well, it not only gains modifications to the engineering to make it more suited for everyday excursions on the trails, but it has unique design features that deliver a more commanding, rugged presence. Those exterior features include 18-inch Kevlar-reinforced Goodyear Adventure tires, a black hood detail, Trailhawk-exclusive tow hooks that feature a red paint job, and skid plates. The front end also boasts a unique and subtly modified front fascia.

To maximize comfort for mud, rocks, and trails, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has the brand's outstanding Quadra-Drive II four-wheel drive system, which is highly advanced and ready for anything you throw at it. It works to deliver a responsive and controlled experience along with the electronic limited-slip rear differential, and standard Hill Ascent/Descent control. The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is offered with an available adjustable air suspension. This version of the air suspension gains an extra 0.4-inch of clearance when in its tallest setting. Keeping with Jeep's devotion to customization, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk offers three dynamic engine options. The standard engine is the Chrysler brand's award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which delivers up to 295 horsepower. Also offered with this Trailhawk is the phenomenal 5.7-liter V8 or the highly acclaimed 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6.
